OK, so because people seem to really like that older post I made another version of it, this time with more princesses who didn’t have their actions caused by love, though these aren’t forgotten princesses.
First, we have Bell. A girl, who wasn’t born a princess but is still considered one, who only wanted to have an adventure and save her father. She didn’t plan on falling on love, that was never her goal, she just wasn’t happy with her life and then risked it to save her father; not the man she loves
Rapunzel, a girl, who didn’t know she was a princess, who wanted to see the ‘floating lights’. That’s all she wanted in life, not to fall in love, and she was perfectly content just seeing them then coming back home. A great princess who went on an adventure just to have her dreams realized, not to fall in love.
Then we have Tiana, since we love her so much, a girl, who became a princess through marriage, who just wanted to accomplish her and her father’s goal of opening a restaurant. She worked hard to achieve this, and was against the idea of falling in love, which she mentioned in the song her and her mother sang together. A great girl, just wanting to open a restaurant, not get married
I hope I didn’t forget anyone else, since you guys have such great ideas on this topic most of the time, and I do feel like everyone thinks Merida is different from the other ladies just because she didn’t fall in love. That’s the only thing different with her story then the other princesses; she didn’t pick a husband in the end of her movie, even though their are other ladies, whether forgotten or not, who didn’t have their actions based on only finding love.

One, BRAVE is a PIXAR movie, not a Disney. Disney just publishes their films, and distributes them. PIXAR is their own...
Mulan just wanted to save China her father.
Cinderella just wanted to go to the ball.
The OP isn’t arguing that Merida is not different from other princesses overall. He/She is arguing that Merida is not...
